The Los Angeles Dodgers made history—the team broke a 25-year drought by winning two consecutive World Series titles. In the decisive seventh, they defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 in extra innings.

Catcher Will Smith's thunderous home run in the top of the 11th inning shattered the silence at Toronto's Rogers Centre. Alejandro Kirk's attempt to score the tying run at third base turned into a double play, sparking a wild Dodgers victory celebration.

The National League champions initially trailed 3-0 in the third inning thanks to Bo Bichette's three-run home run. But the Dodgers mounted a remarkable comeback, narrowing the deficit run by run. Solo home runs by Max Muncy and Miguel Rojas tied the score 4-4 in the top of the ninth inning.
