Robert began his career at WMMR in 1981 and remained an integral part of Philadelphia's radio landscape for more than four decades. His contributions made the station a hub of local music culture. Photos of Robert with numerous renowned musicians and collaborators adorn the walls of WMMR's studios, still symbolizing his legacy.

Following his passing, tributes were held at major concert venues such as Xfinity Mobile Arena, The Met, and The Fillmore. Preston Elliott and Steve Morrison, hosts of WMMR's "Preston & Steve" show, described him as "an exemplary man with a genuine love for music and people."

In its official statement, Beasley Media Group called Robert "a true radio icon" who demonstrated extraordinary dedication to rock music and his listeners from 1981 until his final days. He was particularly renowned for his distinctive greeting, "Greetings Citizens," and his gentle, warm voice.

His radio programs—which included special segments like Pierre's Vinyl Cut, Non-Stop Workforce Blocks, and On This Day—earned him a dedicated and loyal audience. Additionally, he actively participated in numerous social initiatives, such as the AIDS Walk and MANNA's Pie in the Sky, making him a symbol of community service.

Pierre Robert is also inducted into the Philadelphia Music Alliance Walk of Fame—an honor recognizing his long-standing contributions and influence in the music industry. Caroline Beasley, CEO of Beasley Media Group, said, "Pierre's unwavering love for music and his deep connection with his listeners made him one of radio's most beloved voices. His absence will be deeply felt."

Pierre Robert's legacy will live on, not only in the radio world but in Philadelphia's cultural identity.
