According to TMZ, Floyd Roger Myers Jr. died of a heart attack on Wednesday. He was 42 years old. Myers' mother, Renee Trice, said he had suffered three heart attacks in the past three years.
Although Myers was not a main cast member of the show, he played a younger version of Will Smith in the third-season episode "Will Gets Committed," which aired in 1992. That same year, he also played a young Marlon Jackson in the TV miniseries "The Jacksons: An American Dream."
According to IMDb, his last recorded role was in 2000 as an unnamed student on the TV series "Young Americans."
Myers later opened a duct cleaning business in the Maryland area and co-founded The Fellowship Men's Group, which also confirmed his death.
The group wrote in its statement,
"Rest in peace to our dear brother @rocwonder, one of our co-founders. He is gone, but will always be remembered. This mission will continue in his honor. The next men's meeting, as we discussed, will be dedicated to him. Love you brother, rest in peace—we will take care of the rest."
The organization works to empower men's mental health through "support, self-development, and honest conversation."
