The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur successfully conducted the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025 on May 18, 2025. This prestigious exam, a gateway to India's top engineering institutes, saw participation from over 1.8 lakh candidates. The examination comprised two mandatory papers: Paper 1 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Paper 2 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
The results were announced on June 2, 2025, revealing that 54,378 students qualified for admission to various IITs. Rajit Gupta from Mahaveer Nagar, Kota, achieved the All India Rank (AIR) 1, making history as the first local student from Kota's renowned coaching hub to top the exam. His success is attributed to consistent preparation and strong foundational knowledge. Devdutta Majhi emerged as the top-ranking female candidate.
Candidates can access their scorecards and the final answer key on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. The website also provides details on qualifying marks, cutoff scores, and the tie-breaker rules applied during result compilation. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will commence the counselling process shortly, guiding students through seat allocation in IITs and other participating institutions.
