In this new season, the storyline picks up several years after the original series. Hank and Peggy Hill return to a transformed Arlen after working abroad in Saudi Arabia, facing the challenges of a rapidly changing American landscape. Their son, Bobby Hill, is now a 21-year-old aspiring chef navigating adult life in Dallas. The revival aims to reflect on modern cultural shifts, including technological advancements and social changes, all through the lens of the show's hallmark moderate, character-driven humor.
The returning voice cast includes Mike Judge as Hank Hill and Jeff Boomhauer, Kathy Najimy as Peggy Hill, Pamela Adlon as Bobby Hill, Stephen Root as Bill Dauterive, and Lauren Tom as Minh. Notably, the late Johnny Hardwick, who voiced Dale Gribble, completed voice work for six episodes before his passing in 2023. Toby Huss will take over the role of Dale Gribble starting from the seventh episode.
The 14th season will consist of 10 episodes, all of which will be available on Hulu on the premiere date. Episode titles have surfaced, offering hints at the season's content. Titles like "Return of the King," "Bobby Gets Grilled," and "Kahn-scious Uncoupling" suggest storylines that delve into the characters' personal growth and the evolving dynamics within the community.
Fans can look forward to a series that balances nostalgia with fresh perspectives, as King of the Hill continues to explore the complexities of American life through its endearing characters and thoughtful storytelling.
